Empower Uganda School

Empower Uganda School was established in Mijjunwa Village, Uganda, in March 2016 to give the poorest children in the village a chance to go to school.

At the beginning of 2017, around 170 children attend the school, including over 100 girls.

There are 5 teachers and 3 support staff, many of whom work as volunteers. We have built 2 classroom blocks that accommodate 6 classes from Pre-Primary to Primary 6, for children aged 4-16 years old.

The children learn reading and writing, mathematics and basic numeracy, science, English, social studies, religious education, and vocational skills. They also take part in sports activities.

Your donation will support 170 school children by enabling Empower Uganda School to purchase basic school furniture, food and other essential items. Click on the ‘Make a Donation' button and show you care by donating what you can. Every little bit helps.
